Melissa Keane is a licensed associate professional counselor in the state of Georgia. She has a passion for providing therapy services for all women, with a special interest in supporting women from pregnancy through parenthood.
Melissa completed her graduate clinical internship under supervision of Cassie Owens, LPC and Elizabeth O'Brien, LPC, with a special interest in maternal mental health. Melissa enjoys working with pregnant women and mothers who may be experiencing difficulties with identity and role changes, as well as mothers who are experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety. Melissa’s other clinical interests include, but are not limited to the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, self-esteem, grief and loss, infertility, parenting complex children, and other life changes. Melissa recently received her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University with a 4.0 cumulative GPA. Prior to becoming a therapist, Melissa had a very accomplished career in marketing communications with more than a decade of professional experience in marketing services, project development, and client relations. Melissa is a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI), has completed advanced training in maternal mental health, and has built a strong knowledge base of special needs resources within the community. Melissa also serves as Communications Chair on the board of the local GA Chapter of PSI.
Melissa currently provides individual, couples, and group therapy under direction and supervision of Cassie Owens, LPC and Elizabeth O’Brien, LPC.
