Meagan Davies, Graduate Intern (coming this Spring)
Meagan will be joining our practice this spring as a graduate intern while she completes her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University. Meagan looks forward to following her passion and pivoting professionally from her non profit leadership and executive roles. Meagan plans to focus her therapy practice on women and the unique challenges they face trying to balance work, relationships, and motherhood. Meagan will be practicing under direction and supervision of Elizabeth O'Brien and Cassie Owens.
Meagan has a proven track record in non-profit leadership, with special focus on strategy, execution and team building. She has successfully led diverse teams to significant financial turnarounds across states, regions and on a national level. Meagan's experience includes leadership roles with the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, and as President & CEO of Partnership Against Domestic Violence. During her tenure at PADV she completed a $4.4 million Capital Campaign in 10 months, received a national healthcare advertising award for the agencies “Listen” radio campaign, and received the Scott Hudgens Humanitarian Award from the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, Meagan was named national Chief Development Officer at the Arthritis Foundation a $100 million organization. In her three-year tenure, she led a significant financial turnaround effort that grew direct marketing net revenue, increased corporate partnership investments by 45% and grew Arthritis Today Magazine advertising revenue by 25%.
Meagan has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Western Kentucky University. She has additional certifications in Executive Leadership and Change Management from Cornell University. Davies is currently on the International Board of the AOII Foundation, Chairman of the AOII Foundation Grants Committee, 2014 graduate of Leadership Atlanta, and current project group facilitator for the Leadership Atlanta class of 2018.
With her extensive background in executive and professional leadership, Meagan is able to connect with women who are trying to balance career and family. Meagan is married with two adult children and enjoys yoga, running, cooking, traveling and volunteering.
